Cheat or Repeat is a short indie horror game from Ozgames.io that somehow turns something as ordinary as a classroom test into a nerve-wracking survival experience. You play as a student in a silent exam room—but instead of just answering questions, you’re trying to secretly cheat your way through without getting caught. And honestly, it’s way more stressful than it sounds.
Every Second Counts—and Things Get Weird Fast
Right from the start, you’re already sitting at your desk with the test paper in front of you. You’ve got 10 minutes to answer 10 multiple-choice questions, so there’s no time to waste. The catch? You don’t actually know any of the answers. The only way to pass is to sneak a look at your phone and search for them.
Your Phone Is Both a Lifeline and a Risk
Pulling out your phone seems simple at first, but it quickly becomes the most stressful part of the game. You hit the spacebar to bring it up, then frantically type the letters that pop up to fill the search bar. Once you finish, the correct answer appears. Easy, right? Not really. You still have to switch back to your test and pick the right option using keys 1 through 4—all while trying not to panic.
The Teachers Are Always Watching
What really makes the game intense is the constant presence of the teachers. They patrol the room, scanning for anything suspicious. If they catch even a glimpse of your phone, it’s game over—no retries, no second chances. That pressure creates this constant internal debate: do you risk checking your phone now, or wait a bit longer and hope you don’t run out of time?
There are four exam days in total, and each one gets tougher. As you move forward, you’ll run into stricter, less predictable teachers like Ms. Dela, Professor Keys, and Mr. Redstone. Each of them adds a new layer of difficulty, making it harder to cheat without being noticed. You can only move on after passing the current day, so every mistake really matters.
How Do You Actually Survive?
From my experience, staying alert is everything. You can move your mouse to look around the room and keep track of where the teacher is. The moment they get too close, you have to stop cheating and act like a normal student. And sometimes… things just feel off. There’s this subtle, eerie vibe that keeps you on edge the whole time.

Spacebar → Take out / hide your phone
Keyboard letters → Type into the phone’s search bar
Keys 1–4 → Choose answers on the test
Right Mouse Button (hold) → Look around the room
Mouse movement → Track the teacher’s position
Tips to Stay Alive
Don’t get greedy—glances at your phone are much safer.
Always check your surroundings before you try anything risky.
Pay attention to how the teachers move so you can predict safe moments.
And most importantly, stay calm—once you panic, it’s pretty much over.
