Subway Surfers City is the official sequel to the popular endless runner game Subway Surfers, developed by SYBO. The game takes players to a brand new city called Subway City, with more modern graphics, more game modes, and a deeper character development system than the original version.
Gameplay
Basically, players still control a character running on subway tracks, dodging obstacles, collecting coins, and power-ups. However, Subway Surfers City adds several new mechanics:
Stomp Move: An action of slamming down on the ground to open secret passages or collect items.
Bubblegum Shield: A bubblegum shield that protects and assists with jumps.
Speed Pads: Speed-boosting platforms that appear on the track.
Character and hoverboard upgrade system with unique skills.

At the start, players can unlock 4 main districts:
- The Docks
- Southline
- Sunrise Blvd
- Delorean Park
SYBO also stated that additional areas will be added in later seasons.

Simple and Effective Gameplay Guide:
On Mobile (Android/iOS)
Swipe left → Switch to the left lane.
Swipe right → Move to the right lane.
Swipe up → Jump over trains, barriers, and obstacles.
Swipe down → Slide under low obstacles or cancel the jump for a faster landing.
Tap once → Activate the Hoverboard when the energy bar is fully charged. This is what differentiates Subway Surfers City from traditional Subway Surfers.
